President’s Message
Welcome to the NAACP Branch #1034 website. It is our
hope that both our members and the surrounding community benefit
from the information, event listings, and local issues presented
on this site.
It is our desire that the Branch #1034 of the NAACP be active in the community,
visible in the media, and a positive force for change and justice for the citizens
we serve. We are a small but growing branch with worthy goals and the drive to
achieve these goals.
Despite the NAACP's efforts of ensuring social justice and improving the lives
of the minority and disenfranchised populations for nearly a century, struggles
continue. Inequality within access to education, housing and other means of upward
social mobility continues to be evident within this country. As we progress through
the coming years, we must continue to advocate for social justice and equality
within our communities. You can help support these issues, by becoming a member
of the NAACP today. In doing so you can help advocate for equality in the workplace,
schools, and our local communities.
